Happy July 4th a little late! OUR weatherman is forcasting a beautiful Saturday night for our (late) fireworks! Hopefully he's spot on...
For this week's midweektease, I've got the lovely Ravenna Tate, and her latest Weathermen release, Obsession by Design.
Liane writhed and moaned under his touch. He’d never get enough of her. Never. He had her dress off within minutes, and then she reached up to take his dick out of his pants. “Fuck me, Emmett. Right here outside. Just take me. I need you. I need so badly right now.”
Thank you so much for having me over for the Mid Week Tease. This little snippet is from the beginning of my new release, TAKING OVER. Gina and Marcus are being driven to her mother’s home. They’ll be attempting to talk her slimy stepfather, Dale, into reinvesting in the company they work for. Marcus believes he knows everything there is to know about this bad girl but he actually knows very little and Gina would like to keep it that way.
She stuffed her phone in her purse and dug around for her scarf. The bit of exposed skin around her neckline needed to be covered. A small step in protecting herself from Dale and his wondering eyes, but she'd wear it like armor. She fussed with a few different knots until Marcus yanked the scarf free.
“What are you doing?” He held the scarf just out of her reach.
“Give me that back!” Before she thought better of it, she leaned over and fell across his lap, reaching for the scarf. At the same time, she became aware of his hard cock pressing into her side and froze. “I thought my tricks didn't work on you.”
“My dick may have a mind of its own, but don't worry, sweetheart. I can control myself.” He shook the scarf. “I’ve never seen you try to cover your cleavage.”
“I knew this was a bad idea.” She yanked her scarf from his grip. “You shouldn't have come with me.”
“Keller didn't give me much of a choice.”
“Well, give the man a medal.” She wrapped the silk around her neck, made a simple knot, and worked at it until it covered everything. “I've told you I don't need you. We can ask the driver to pull over.” She moved forward to knock on the window.
“Cut it out.” He grabbed her wrist and drew her back against him. “I'm going with you.”
She jerked from his hold and crossed her arms.
“Look, I just want to make sure Keller gets his funding back.”
“Sure, it's all about Keller. I'd bet it has more to do with your pretty, new friend, Janna.”
“She is pretty and she belongs to Simon. Stop trying to pick a fight. I'm coming with you and sticking by your side until this business is fixed.”
Gina’s life was perfect, until the day she realized the man she loved didn’t love her back. Her charming life turned upside down as tragedy and cruelty struck her down. She learned to protect her family from those who could cause them pain, but she inadvertently ensured the perfect life would be forever out of her reach.
Marcus has hid his love for Gina for years. His assumptions about her have allowed him to be harsh, but underneath all the anger is a man deeply in love. The tough realities of her life put them in position to see themselves in a whole new light. The second chance is right there and it could take them over the edge into the love they’ve always wanted.
S.J. Maylee fell in love with storytelling at a young age and with it came a deep-seated desire for everyone to find their happily ever after. She’s finding the happy endings for her characters one steamy story at a time.
When she’s not reading or writing, you can find her caring for her garden, laughing with her two young sons, or dancing to her husband’s music. She’s a PMP (Project Management Professional), Nia instructor, and coffee addict.
As a writer she has a tendency to break hearts, but she always glues them back together.

Happy Hump Day!
Today, I have the lovely Iyana Jenna and a snippet from her newest release, The Recording Room.
Lucian gasped when Nate suddenly engulfed him in his strong arms. His initial reaction was to push the man away, but just like with their hands earlier, Lucian immediately felt as if accepting Nate’s hug was the right thing to do, and this was the right place for him to be. So that was just what he did, accept and lean into Nate’s hard body. A mild, musky, spicy scent attacked his nostrils and he breathed it in fully. It was a departure from the sea breeze and citrus scents Payton had favored, but Lucian didn’t mind.
He was surprised by his own thoughts. Who was he to think such things? He had just lost his boyfriend of three years yet now he gladly accepted another man’s comfort? He gave a sudden jerk back.
Nate gaped, startled. “What’s wrong?”
“I’m sorry. I can’t do this.”
That surprised look was now mixed with hurt. Lucian felt like reaching out to Nate.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean…I was just…”
“You’re just lost and alone, but confused, too. Well, you should know you’re not alone. I’m here. I’ll listen anytime you want to talk more about it.”
Lucian stared at Nate, suddenly curious. Nate had been too…accepting. But Lucian felt comfortable with him. It was as if he’d known the man for a long time. Still, he needed to ask.
“It didn’t surprise you that I was with a man?”
Nate’s eyes flickered and he smiled a little. “No, it didn’t. When I first met you, I thought how beautiful you are and it’d be too bad if you had a girlfriend. But honestly, I’m sorry you lost your boyfriend.”
“Huh? When we first met, you blew up at my grandmother and me.”
“I was blown away by your beauty. I just tried to cover it up.”
They both laughed.
Lucian Salvatore returns to Clover East after his grandmother calls him home to take care of the family's recording studio. This is a welcome trip after the tragic loss of his boyfriend.
Nate Lockwood is the man who practically runs the Salvatore studio. He suspects he’s going to be replaced once Lucian comes home to take over the business. But Nate doesn’t plan on leaving Clover East so soon, at least not before he solves the mystery that’s the real reason he came to the small town in the first place.
Will Nate be able to discover what happened to his aunt who disappeared in Clover East so many years ago? What does her disappearance have to do with Lucian’s family ... and the haunted recording room in the studio where they both work?
