When it comes to writing, and sharing a tidbit of wisdom with others, I get this question quite often. “What advice would you give to writers just starting out?” So, here’s my tidbit:
Write what you love. What you find inspiring. Read as much as you can. Find someone wonderful to bounce ideas off of. Grow a thick skin, and don’t let negativity get you down. Keep yourself in your work, and keep on writing.
~ London Saint James
With the exception of the pretty as a picture, Sutton Callaway, Kale McNab’s childhood sucked. He’d been jerked up more so than raised by his ex-convict of a father, eventually leaving the girl and West Texas behind. Now, he’s all grown and back in Sutton’s life, willing to do whatever it takes to stay there.

What people are saying about Trouble in Paradise:
"Holy hell in a hand basket! Whoo! What a twisting turning, one hell of a cliff hanger, roller coaster ride that was. Oh, I also forgot the not one, but two hot Alpha males, hot kinky sex, and spankings. This not one of those books you want to miss. It's literally got it all!" - Goodreads 5* Review
"5 sexy stars!! Whoo I may need to be hosed down after reading this sexy, sexy book!!" - Goodreads Review
I have the authors of Roane Publishing's Summer's Sweet Embrace anthology here today to tell us their Top Two favorite summertime treats!
Dip N’ Dots and although I can’t say I love homemade snow cones, I love making them with my kiddos. I think that counts!
Growing up in NYC, there’s nothing like a fresh Italian ice (my favorite’s chocolate) scooped into a paper cup, or a cherry slush cone made by street vendors who pop up on corners, shave ice into a cone, and pour flavoring on top. On a humid day, these treats are pure bliss. Yum!
Raspberry Lime Rickey
Homemade Ice Cream
Summer fruits! I can’t wait for cherries, plums, nectarines, blueberries and the exotic grapes to get in!
Barbequed oysters – cooked in the shell over an open fire. So much better than raw.
*Vanilla swirl cone dipped in caramel
*Sweet black cherries
Homemade Ice Cream, Big Stick Popsicles
Melissa J. Crispin:
In the summer, you can never go wrong with s’mores! Just thinking about the gooey marshmallow goodness and the melted chocolate is making my mouth water. My other favorite treat is homemade blueberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream, especially when it is made with fresh blueberries that we picked ourselves.
I love strawberries with a dollop of frozen whipped cream, sprinkle on some cinnamon and a dash of sugar and I'm in heaven. My second favorite treat is cherries. I love their sweet taste and I usually don't share. I'll eat an entire bag at a sitting.

uke would go to the ends of the earth to figure out why Morgan ran away five years ago and make things right with her. However, a dangerous trek up the mountains to her family’s cabin might not have been the smartest choice. To say she was happy to see him would be a huge lie. Having to rescue him, mortifying for Luke.
Toss a kidnapper into the mix and their feelings for each other are brought into perspective, revealing parts of themselves they never thought would come to light.
This was really the last thing she needed; she couldn’t help but panic. What would happen when he woke up? Could he have known she was back and tried to come see her at the cabin and that’s why he got lost? There were only two people that knew she was coming to town at all.
After she reluctantly re-bandaged the wound on the back of his head and settled him on the pillow, Morgan stepped out the back door for a deep breath of fresh air. She radioed dispatch an update on the hiker’s condition, then had a few words for her uncle as well. “Uncle Bill, did you know the missing hiker was Luke?” She’d proceeded to tell her uncle what she thought of his shenanigans and how could he put her in that kind of a situation, but he claimed the reception was bad and he couldn’t hear her.
Bad reception my ass.
Had he really known all along who she was supposed to be rescuing? Knowing his ornery scheming ways, he’d convinced Holly Search and Rescue to play right along with his plan, that old fart. Maybe that was why her brother would be delayed coming into town because no way would she believe Tyler was part of the hoax too.
